Grade 2HM is a hexagon nut type manufactured in accordance with the ASTM A194 standard, used in large-diameter connections, made of annealed and medium-carbon steel. It has a lower hardness than Grade 2H and is preferred for larger sizes.
2H nuts generally have higher hardness and strength, while 2HM nuts are produced in larger sizes and with lower hardness. Therefore, 2HM is used more for larger diameter bolts.
